Gooch & Housego Plc operates in the worldwide optoelectronics market place. Formerly established as a manufacturer of precision optical components, subsequent product developments and aquisitons have put the business at the forefront of modern Optoelectronic Components and Optical Measurement and test systems.
The business is divided into three business units.
Gooch and Housego, OLI and CDI.
The components business, Gooch and Housego, is an international organisation with manufacturing sites in the UK, Germany and the USA. This business manufactures specialist components for the optoelectronics inustry based on core enabling optical technologies.
These components are used in photonics based systems for scientific, medical and research applications, eg industrial laser processing, confocal microscopy, laser sensing and laser display.
OLI is a well established supplier of photonics measuring systems and equipments for use in the characterisation of optical sources.
CDI are active in the development of photonic solutions primarily for use in medical applications.
